Meals are prepared fresh on-site from a dietician-approved seasonal menu that caters for resident preferences and allergies including texture modified diets and cultural requirements where possible. Whilst residents are encouraged to socialise and experience the meal service in the dining rooms with friends and family, room-service can also be arranged to resident’s individual rooms where preferred or for health-related circumstances.

Throughout the home you will find spacious lounge areas, libraries, craft rooms, games areas and multi-purpose areas such as movie theatre, music/piano area, billiard table and café which have been designed to promote socialisation with friends and family.

All of the rooms are single bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom, with some variance in size. Provided in every room is a king single, electric hi-low bed with hand and foot controller and specialised pressure care mattress; nurse call; individually-controlled air conditioning and heating; and wall-mounted smart TV.

The Cardinia Community Leisure and Lifestyle team seek to gain an insight into the residents’ connection to lifestyle choices and ensure that their social history, interests, cultural and religious needs, skills, capacity and safety are reflected in their care plans.

Relatives and their families are encouraged to attend activities as part of the Leisure and Lifestyle Program to support transitions and maintain positive connections in the residents’ lives.

The monthly Leisure and Lifestyle program focuses on group activities which promote connection, integration and socialising between residents, families and staff, whilst balancing risk management strategies.
